Leonel Messi spotted reacting to Alejandro Garnacho performance


 

Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho made his Copa America debut Argentina over the weekend. Teenage sensation Alejandro Garnacho has taken a step forward in his career by representing his country at a major tournament for the first time.

Two years ago Alejandro Garnacho made the decision to represent Argentina, having previously represented Spain at youth level. While he was born in Madrid, his mother hails from Argentina. Garnacho played over an hour as Argentina beat Peru 2-0,finishing the group stage with a 100 per cent record.

Alejandro Garnacho, 20, has been valued as the most expensive Argentine teenager since Leonel Messi.

He did not get share the pitch with the eight-times Ballon D'or winner in his appearance, because Messi was rested for the fixture. Messi was sat in the dugout watching his teammates, and took the time to reach out and congratulate Garnacho after he was substituted.
